Iga is a student of Political Sciences Doctoral School at Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB), with a main research focus on the recreational drug use and gender aspects. She started to work in a drug policy and harm reduction field back in 2011, when she joined Students Drug Policy Initiative. Within SDPI she attended numerous conferences and seminars on topics related to drugs, conducted research and created and implemented two educational and harm reduction projects for students. She graduated Social Prevention and Rehabilitation (MA) at the University of Warsaw in 2013, following MSc in Public Policy and Management at CUB, where she conducted a research on the influence of law enforcement on functioning of harm reduction services. She worked for Drugtext Foundation (NL), managing the library on substance use. She has been cooperating with Hungarian Drugreporter.net and Polish Narkopolityka.pl. In 2015 in Budapest she founded Students’ Drug Policy Initiative Hungary, which is part of a Youth Organisations for Drug Action network. Within YODA, she co-organised and co-facilitated some of the workshops. She is involved in the work of Working Group on Evaluation of European Drug Strategy and Action Plan in Civil Society Form on Drugs by the European Commission.
